Description
A letter from the National Coal Board Area General Manager, P. C. Parry to the Deputy Production Director suggesting the decision to close the pits was hasty as it was not long after their merger. Annotated plan of both collieries indicating their volume per cubit metre, scale 6 inches to a mile. Letter from the Chief Mining Enginee to the Area Chief Engineer discussing the date of closure for Denby Hall on the 23 Sep 1967 and the work that needs to be done before then.
