Beaumont, AAGM of the East Lancashire Area, formerly an employee of Moira Colliery Company Limited. Allen Beaumont was employed as the Manager of Coton Park Colliery, 1927-1936, but it would seem in practice he was also involved with the business of the other collieries belonging to the company. He was the son of Philip Beaumont, mining agent of the Moira Colliery Company.The diaries record entries for 3 days a page, and they record his daily whereabouts, often giving details of actions and outcomes. |
