Description
Correspondence is mainly on the unification of royalties initially but from June 1937 turns to the registration of ownership, when the Government turned its attention to the passing of the Coal (Registration of Ownership) Act 1937. Including loose printed copies of various coal mines bills and sections of them, with memoranda on statutory rules and regulations, 1936-1938, printed copy of official report of the verbatim Parliamentary debates in the House of Commons, including on the Nationalisation of Mines and Minerals Bill, 12 Feb 1937, and envelope of correspondence, notes and papers on the unification of coal royalties, 1937.
