| Biography | Molly was a woman of African descent who was enslaved at the Grange Hill plantation in Jamaica. Malcolm Laing bought Molly from William Gray in 1769 and sent her to Grange Hill. She was recorded there as working in the fields in 1771 and was classed as 'old' in 1771 and 1777. |
