Biography	Bob was a child of African Descent who was enslaved at the Grange Hill plantation in Jamaica. Malcolm Laing bought Bob from William Gray in 1769 along with his mother, Phebba, and sister, Nancy. The family was sent to Grange Hill where he was recorded in 1771. He was not recorded in the list of enslaved people at Grange Hill in 1777 and may therefore have died or been sold between 1771 and 1777.
