History
The house was originally built c.1860 by Dr Christopher Hall who lived in and ran the doctors surgery from Linden House with his wife, 3 children and 2 servants. Following his death in the 1960s Linden House was sold to Derbyshire County Council and became a Children's Home for 8-10 children, to replace Meadow Bank.
Clientele: Provides longer-term care for 5 young people, aged 11-17 years. As at 1973, 11 places were provided; as at 1992, there was a secure unit
