History
The United Benefice of West Hallam, Stanley, Stanley Common and Mapperley was established in 2009 when the six churches in thr four villages signed a covenant after many years of ecumenial work together. The six churches were:
• Anglican Church of St Wilfrid and West Hallam Methodist Church, West Hallam
• Anglican Church of St Andrew and Stanley Methodist Church, Stanley (Stanley Methodist Church closed in April 2015)
• United Church of All Saints, a combined Anglican/Methodist Church, Stanley Common
• Anglican Church of the Holy Trinity, Mapperley
