The Ashgate Colliery Co Ltd of Chesterfield worked the Tupton and Blackshale seams. It only had a small workforce and may not have been operating for a long time as a new company before closing in 1933. It was owned by W Morris to Oct 1931, and then by R Routledge and G W Elliott.
