Administrative History | Derbyshire County Council established the Time Out Team in 2015 to provide short term interventions in the care of children at times of crisis, with the aim of minimising risks while longer term arrangements are made. The team's records have been catalogued alongside those of residential homes because the Time Out Team works so closely with the homes, including in the planning of admissions and secondment of staff. The team also provides short breaks in a cottage (Spring Cottage, formerly Grin Low Cottage) under a section of the Children's Home Regulations permitting use of holiday accommodation for looked after children. |
