The majority of items referred to in the register are published items that can now be found in the Local Studies collection. However, there are several entries in Aug and Sep 1924 referring to the withdrawal of 'Collectanea Dakeynea', which appears to refer to the Dakeyne family archives which had been deposited with the county council in 1922, and are now held under reference D9.

The register ultimately came under the remit of the Record Office as it was used by J. R. Wild, the first designated Records Clerk, from 1959.
