| Description | She cannot any more information to what she has sent already; the sending to the N.P.G, took place during Sophy Cracroft's lifetime; she saw it in the New Gallery in Sophy's name and got J.P.G. to remonstrate; T. Phillips was born at Dudley, painted glass in Birmingham in the early days, including windows in St George's Chapel, Windsor, took up portrait painting after leaving Birmingham; note that grandparents were married on 19 Aug not the 6th as in "J.F. Bride". She hopes his move went well; she expects to be in Leamington in July. PS: Reynolds wrote to her about the Negelen; she knew it was the property of a Mrs Willis (unknown). |
