Mary is recovering very well and has enjoyed the company of her friend Mary Ann Kendall, who has been staying with her two eldest children at Haslar and is again expecting to be confined (only in lodgings in Southampton until the Company know better what port they shall finally sail theif vessels from. No family news apart from her father actively canvassing for Mr Cust, whose election is not secure. Sir Edward Parry's marriage was to a Mrs Hoare, a young woman (33) and widow of a son of the Banker's, worth £12,000 a year, with children by her first marriage.
