Vivien Joan Brown (nee Stevenson) lived most of her life in Carsington. She served as an Intercept Wireless Operator ATC during the Second World War, based at Kedleston Hall and the Isle of Man. Later in life she acted as Assistant Registration Officer for the Register of Electors covering Carsington, Hopton and Griffe Grange (1951-1958).
