Article from Derby Evening Telegraph 17 Dec 1947, reporting Alan Turner's speech to the Textile Institute, arguing that the welfare of workers should be improved by removing the fear of uncertain employment and creating a "reasonable wage structure".
Letter to Alan Turner from Archbishop of Cius, Apostolic Delegate, 31 Jan 1950, re Turner's film on the subject of the mass in the Catholic church, "The Sacrifice We Offer", noting that "His Holiness expressed his pleasure at the initiative and its good result". Also in the volume is the text of a review of the film by Donald Orback, recorded on 3 Jan 1951 by the BBC North American Service for Radio Canada, to be translated into French and broadcast on the French Programme.
Jun 1950 edition of "Hibernia" magazine, the cover story of which is "Plan for a Christian Factory" by Alan Turner, arguing that Catholic social teaching provides a permanent solution to the problems of industrial strife and discontent, which provide "a breeding ground for the virus of Marxian materialism".
