| Description | Whereas Bourne and others have for several years workes a coal mine at Stretton and have laid more than 1000 loads of slack and dirt on the King's highway between Chesterfield and Derby whereby the same is become dangerous; and whereas Bourne and others have agreed with the overseers and inhabitants to indemnify them against the cost of removing the same; Bourne and others undertake to spread and level the said slack etc. and to cause a horse causeway to be laid on the side of the road, and shall repair the highway affected by the tipping for 8 years or indemnify the inhabitants for all cost by reason of want of repairs. |
