Title
Spurr and Hunter, Barns Colliery, to J G Barnes: we are still in suspense over Cecil's coal and are dribbling on from day to day, only producing 1/4 of what is necessary; we have no means to pay the rent, wages, etc.; the Basset Coal is now being got out to be mixed with some of the Best Coal; the coke is of insufficient strength and occasions continual complaint; if agreement is not signed soon, we must ask you to commence a drift to dry the coal on the west of the Tang.
