Administrative History
The Bakewell and District 1914/18 War Memorial Charity operated within the parish of Bakewell and all points within a 5 mile radius of Bakewell memorial cross. It aimed to provide "additional hospital, medical and other benefits" to local people in need, as well as charitable relief to veterans of both World Wars. The charity wound itself down in 2008 and was removed from the register of charities in 2009.
Custodial History
These records were donated by the former Treasurer in February 2015 and December 2016.
