Title
Assignment of lease by 1 Edward Earl of Dorset Lord Chamberlain of the King's Household, Sir Henry Compton of Brambletye, Sussex, Margaret widow of Anthony Roper late of Eltham, Kent, esquire, Thomas Stich of Newberry, Barking, Essex, gentleman and Henry Stich his son and heir apparent to 2 Robert Houlden of Shardlow gentleman in which Thomas and Henry Stich with the consent of Dorset and Compton to whom Anthony Roper devised the reversion of the premises in his will (see D 779B/T 207) to the uses of the will, and with the consent of Margaret Roper, and for £1400 paid by Houlden, assigned the premises as in D 779B/T 46, excepting the New or Hallowe Close, for remainder of 40 year term.
