Feoffment and bargain and sale by 1. Richard Dalle the elder of Osmaston, John Lord of Derby gentleman, Nicholas Fisher of Scraptoft, county Leicester, clerk, Richard Dalle the younger late of London, grocer and 2nd son of Richard above to 2. Sir John Stanhope the elder of Elvaston, for £300 paid to Richard Dalle the elder, of enclosed grounds of meadow or pasture in Osmaston called Humber holme or humber holmes, late in the occupation of Richard Dalle the elder, parcel of land, meadow or pasture called the olde water or the olde water course of 'Darwinde', whether it be freehold or copyhold, in Osmaston, 'Booton' [Boulton], Alvaston and 'Spowndon' [Spondon], part thereof lying between Humber holme(s) and parsons Holme in Spondon, excepting one lease made by Richard Dalle the elder to Ralph Owtram of Chaddesden baker of one parcel of Humberholme until next Lady Day

Such interest as Philip Aram has in Humberholme(s) under a lease for 3 lives made by Richard Francis esquire to Richard Dalle the elder, and such interest as Roger Goodwine has by means of a judgment elegit or extente. Richard Dalle the elder will, before Michaelmas, cause to be executed a good estate in the olde water course of Darwinde by surrender according to the custom of the manor of Spondon, to Sir John Stanhope. Attornies for livery of seisin - Thomas Foster and Jeremy Pendleton of Elvaston, yeomen.
