Description
By which 1. for £126 paid by Holden for the use of the town of Shardlow, quitclaimed all their right of common and other rights in pieces of arable, meadow or pasture ground in township and liberty of Shardlow called Shardlow Flatt, Great Cowholme and Little Cowholme to Holden for whom it may be lawful to enclose and fence them and to hold them in severalty, discharged of all right of common. If Holden is disturbed in the enjoyment or enclosure of the lands within 10 years by the freeholders, the £126 is to be repaid. Signatures or marks of Henry Powson junior, Abigall Wood, Christopher ?Lacey, Thomas Robins, William Soare, William Lovatt and party 1. above.
