Exemplification of verdict in case in which Thomas Clarke, William Siddon and John Lane, recently of Weston yeomen, bailiffs of Samuel Holden esquire, were summoned to reply to John Cotton for taking his cattle from the Hollowe (also called New Close and Halowe) in Weston on 5 Nov 1 James II [1685]

Reciting that Cotton was tenant of a messuage and 2 yardlands in Weston, owned by Nicholas Willymott esquire (the history of the tenancy is given) to which Cotton claimed 18 beastgates in the Hollowe (Holden's property) belonged
Verdict against Cotton.
