TitleMarriage settlement between William Soresby of Chesterfield esq, Adam Soresby of Chesterfield esq, son and heir apparent, Godfrey Heathcote of Chesterfield gentle man, John Froggatt of Halifax gentleman, William Soresby the younger of Chesterfield gentleman, son and heir apparent of Adam Soresby, John Fidler of Chesterfield butcher, George Milnes of Dunston esq, William Milnes, youngest son of George Milnes, and Mary Soresby spinster, eldest daughter of Adam Soresby, on the marriage of William Milnes to Mary Soresby, by which William and Adam Soresby have released to Heathcote and Froggatt, a new erected messuage fronting Chesterfield Market Place, known as The Royal Oak Inn, formerly several tenements and a malthouse, also parcel of land, the Croft, 1r, and parcel of land adjoining the croft formerly used as a tanyard and since a skinner's yard, a messuage in Chesterfield in the north east corner of the Shambles and three messuages adjoining it together with a Smith's shop, a messuage adjoining the Smith's shop, parcel of land in a close in Chesterfield called the Butts, a newly erected messuage in Walton and several closes, Barn Close, Four Square Close, Thistle Close, the Bank, 18a in all, Highfield Close in Newbold 12a, Brockwell Close, Brampton, 3a, a messuage in Cutthorpe, Brampton, and several closes, Cyndar Flatt, the Barnyard, Daisy Field, the Wood and the Well Yard, Hen Park Farm, Brampton, with several closes, Hen Park, Long Croft and two Wigley Fields, 4 Feb 1748/9.
