Revd Sir William Nigel Gresley 9th Baronet (1806-1847)
Description
Rector of Seale, 1830-1847
Descended from Thomas, second son of the 2nd Baronet and Sir Nigel 6th Baronet through his mother Louisa Jane Gresley. He succeeded the Baronetcy on the death of Sir Roger Gresley in 1837, and inherited all his estates (except Drakelow in which Sir Roger's widow had a life interest, and several properties which were sold to pay debts, including the Lullington estate to the Colville family.
