Description
This series contains audio recordings of dramatic performances by the Great Hucklow Village Players, based on works by Lawrence du Garde Peach. The recordings date from the mid-20th century and include titles such as How Hucklow Became Great, Summat Akin, The Lopotkin Inheritance and The Village That Would Have a Dragon, alongside other plays. Most of the recordings were originally captured on reel-to-reel tapes, many of which have been digitised into CDs and other digital formats. The collection also includes related handwritten scripts, manuscript amendments and correspondence.
