Administrative History | Born in Liverpool in 1880, Bernard Newton Miles was the son of a vicar, born in Ireland. Bernard N Miles was ordained as a deacon on 7 Oct 1906 and as a priest on 6 Oct 1907. He arrived in Japan in Jan 1909, leaving in Oct 1918, and arriving in Singapore in Nov 1918. Revd Miles returned to England in Mar 1920, becoming vicar at Parwich in Sep 1920. Revd Miles died in Jul 1921, having apparently given his last sermon on 8 May 1921..
