Description
- Paper headed 'Derbyshire Prisons' that had previously held together a bundle and marked: 'No12/ Feby 20th 1829/ Letters and papers relating to the Mellor and Marple Estates agreed to be deposited with Mr Arkwright but not to be opened without the consent of Mr John Clayton of Marple / RA/ JC' [AR/7] This is a 'Rules and Regulations' poster for Derbyshire Prisons, 1823. The paper is very badly torn along the length of the right side, with two holes in the centre .Small piece of paper enclosed, appears to fit one hole. Very dirty and water damaged.
