Description
The Strutt business used agents in London from the earliest days. They initially bought silk for merchants in London. This series has the earliest record in the collection with its first ledger starting in December 1771 and goes (albeit with a couple of gaps) up to time of the firm's amalgamation in the English Sewing Cotton Company in 1897.
