Administrative HistoryThe parish of Ashbourne St Oswald includes Newton Grange, Offcote, Underwood, Sturston and Yeldersley. Alsop en le Dale, with Eaton, was a chapelry of the parish until the later 19th century when it became a separate parish (see D2579). The parish included Hulland with Hulland Ward until 1838 when Hulland became a chapelry and in 1855 was constituted a separate parish (see D3258). Clifton and Compton were included in the parish until 1846 when they were made a separate parish (see D3782).
