Administrative History
A Primitive Methodist Church had been established in Hawthorne Street off Derby Road in 1898. When the church closed in 1912, the building was taken over by the Wesleyan Methodists who used the building until the present church on Derby Road opened in 1927.
Custodial History
These items were deposited in Derbyshire Record Office by the Chesterfield Methodist Circuit/Sheffield District of the Methodist Church archivist in November 2005, February 2020 and October 2022.
