Administrative History
The first Primitive Methodist Chapel in Bugsworth was built in 1841. The current Buxworth (Bugsworth) Primitive Methodist Chapel was built in 1878. In the 1950s it joined the Whaley Bridge Wesleyan Methodist Circuit. The church closed in 1984.
