Administrative History
The Derbyshire Headteacher's Association was a branch of the National Association of Head Teachers (N.A.H.T.). The National Association was formed in 1897 after a group of pioneers realized that without such an Association there was danger that the views of Head Teachers could be misrepresented or altogether unrepresented and ignored. Issues and problems affecting schools are discussed, such as when holidays should be taken, recruitment etc.
