Administrative History | The first recorded meeting of the members of the free church at Killamarsh is reputed to have taken place in 1842. The first chapel was built in 1852 and was later enlarged in 1877, the year when the first pastor was appointed. In spite of additional building works, the church was still too small for the numbers attending, so a new church was built in High Street and opened in 1905. The former chapel was then used for the site of the School. The church was also known as Ebenezer Congregational Church. |
Custodial History | The records were deposited at the Derbyshire Record Office in October 2003 and August 2004. |
