Administrative History
The Ilkeston Trades Council and Labour Party began in Ilkeston in about 1922. By 1954 it was known as Ilkeston Local Labour Party. Reorganisation of constituency boundaries in 1970s meant that Erewash Labour Party covered Ilkeston area.
Custodial History
Acquired by Derbyshire Record Office in 2003. These records were handed to Ilkeston Library by Mr Greatorex who is understood to have been involved with the Ilkeston Local Labour Party in the past.
