Administrative History | As was the case with many public and long-established grammar schools, Derby School had a Cadet Corps, or Officer Training Corps. The Derby School OTC was attached to No. 1 Voluntary Battalion of the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire (Sherwood Foresters) Regiment. As part of training, cadets attended military camps for a week or so. Both camps for the years 1912-1913 were situated at Bordon in Hamphire. |
Custodial History | The photographs used to belong to Allan Forsyth, one of the cadets attending the camps. They were given to the Derbyshire Record Office in September 2003 by his daughter. |
