| Administrative History | The Church was originally a branch church of St Mary's Gate Baptist Church, Derby. Its first location was in Parcel Terrace c1856, but the church moved to new premises in Junction Street off Uttoxeter Road, Derby in 1860. The buildings were enlarged in 1871 and 1885, when the Sunday School was built. It separated formally from St Mary's Gate in 1897.
A new Church was built in 1928 at the junction of Old and New Uttoxeter Roads in 1928. The site at Junction Street was used for the site of the Sunday School but was sold in 1935. Following a fire in September 2004, the church met in different locations, and settled at Firs Estate School Community Rooms from 2009. |
