Title | A Whimsical Will!! |
Date | [1 Oct 1807] |
Description | The reading of a will. The lawyer sits in an armchair in the left. The deceased's wife flirts with his secretary. She has been left his fortune, and the secretary has been left his wife. The butcher, a very fat man wearing an apron, has been 'left' the advice to cut his steak thicker. Behind the butcher sits the butler, a dishevelled and drunk man, who has been left money for his sobriety. To his doctor he leaves all the medicines he has been prescribed and to his foppishly dressed nephew he leaves nothing, much to his disgust. Available on CD 164. |
