Title
Plan of parish of Eyam and Foolow
Date
[early 19th cent]
Description
Scale 3 chains : 1 inch
With note accompanying the plan identifies it as a copy of the enclosure map [drawn up in 1813] and includes an extract from a letter of Charles Sisum Wright 9 May 1888: 'The original [enclosure map] either is or ought to be at the Office of the Clerk of the Peace in Derby. The one that I hold is a copy for the convenience of reference on the spot for the Freeholders of Eyam'. However, the plan actually appears to be a copy of the tithe map of 1842, with annotations made in the same hand as the letter.
