Description
As well as minutes of monthly meetings, the earliest minute book includes records of officers' meetings relating to attendance at Trades Union Congress events and other national issues. Support for other organised labour bodies is noted, as are replies to central government correspondence. Later entries include details of the election of officers. There are no entries for the period between June 1915 and April 1917.

Administrative History
The Derby & District Trades Council was established before October 1913. George Southern of 37 Upper Boundary Road, Derby, became Secretary to the Council in January 1917.
Custodial History
