Administrative History
This is an artificial collection of documents acquired by Herbert Walls, a solicitor at Stockport in the middle part of the 20th century and a member of the Stockport Historical Society. There does not appear to be any clear relationship between the Derbyshire deeds and the Gloucestershire deeds except for the fact that they were collected by the same individual.
Custodial History
The deeds and documents were deposited in the Record Office by a member of the family in November 2000 (via Cheshire Archives).
