Description
The Manor of Ashby Magna was sold to Thomas Pares, along with the manor of Cotes-de-Val, by Shukbrugh Ashby in 1760 [see series D5336/1/19]
The papers in this series comprise copied extracts from the Manor court rolls of the Manor of Ashby Magna. They include suit rolls, jurors' lists, presentments, accounts and lists of fines and amerciants from the Court Baron and Court Leet held in September of each year. There are no rolls recording surrenders and admittances to manorial property.
