Administrative History
Ashbourne National School on Mayfield Road was built in the early nineteenth century. A separate school for girls was built in 1876 and a separate infants school was built in 1891, both close to the original school which became the boys school.
Custodial History
The records were originally accessioned as part of the records of the parish of St Oswald Ashbourne and reaccessioned in November 2000. A further accession was donated in April 2022.
