Description
Case for the prosecution, alleging that on 27 Aug 19 Jas [1621] Mrs Molyneux broke into Mr Heathcote's close at Cutthorpe and allowed her animals to graze there. The case hinges on the inheritance of the close (owned in the reign of Queen Elizabeth by Godfrey Foljambe), and on the close's location in the parish of Brampton but in the 'town' of Morton.
Includes abstracts of title deeds and leases, notes the defendant's claim to title, and answers it.
