Date26 Mar 1743
DescriptionMuch of the content is a transcription of an extract from a satirical poem, with additional transcription said to be clarifications added by the publisher. There are references in the poem to an unnamed clergyman and to Lincoln fools. The letter refers to the absence of Willoughby, a conversation with Caldecot, five Lincoln gentry, Mr Scrope being minded to prosecute the poem's author and to Whitehead, late sub-dean.
