Transcript or Index | Not to hinder Dear Whist, Star, Patience or Jessey That this my fair Ladys I mean to address you But when Palpable Sower or needles are broke Stop and guess what I am and unriddle the Joak Like a thousand more things I can’t say my birth But my origin sprang from ye fruits of the Earth That I’m modelld by art and [?]reduced to a fitness For pleasure or proffitt all nations can witness And few in this Isle from the King to the Clown But the truth of this fact by experience have known As for simetry shape & proportion can boast That I fairly excell the most Delicate toast For betwixt breech and mouth no Lady can say But that I am [?]taper every inch of the way And to keep me quite straight because I am thin My stays are fixed on with many a pin The finer I’m cloathed both for shew and Expence The more I’m dispis’d by all mortalls of sense Yet coxcombs oft times (to their shame be it told) Will have me embellish’d with silver and gold The Gluttons example with one of such force is That whenever I’m fed I have Allways two courses The first is prepar'd with a great deal of pother But Saram’s fam'd Bishop can furnish the other And no sooner I’m cram’d and that trouble is o’er But I’m ready to Vomit and make room for more So Beastly Domitian as old Poets sing [?]Scare e’er made a meal but he did the same thing And when I’m so nasty my friends can’t endure me San[?]grodes specific will presently cure me But what is most odd no Lady is able Without I feed often to make out a table For what I squirt out oft affords a good Dish And prefer’d by Most palates to all kinds of fish |
