Correspondence with Manners Colliery re prospects of abandoning the canal or re-opening it to traffic, 1899; Copy resolution of Special General Meeting of the Nutbrook Canal proprietors to apply to the Board of Trade for abandonment, with forms for proxy voting at the meeting, 31 May 1901; Correspondence 1901-1907 re Nutbrook Canal Company’s outstanding commitments, e.g. repairs to fences, proposed grant of easement to Stanton Company, etc, including letter dated 22 Apr 1907 from E Miller Mundy’s estate office to Fuller [of John Shaw and Sons, Derby] calling for acceptance of “the Midland Railway’s offer” (details not given), “as the risk of being called upon to re-open the canal is so very remote, in fact, it is almost impracticable”; Derbyshire Advertiser and Journal, 17 May 1901
