DescriptionThis map is described in the Derbyshire Record Society's "A Catalogue of Local Maps of Derbyshire c.1528–1800" (compiled by Harold Nichols, revised by Mary Wiltshire assisted by Susan Woore, published 2012). The description reads as follows:

A Map of sundry Lands lying within the Township of Wormhill in the Parish of Tideswell in the County of Derby appropriated for the use of the Chapel in Wormihill aforesaid. Surveyed by 1766. Surveyor: William Dickinson. Scale: of 10 Chains [1:3200]. Size: 59 x 78 cm. Materials: coloured ink on paper. Centred on: SK124740 Notes: cardinal points written outside ruled margin, west at top. Only the relevant lands in open fields and closes are drawn: lands, named closes with reference numbers and reference letters to listed tenants name: boundary lines and note to indicate Chapel or tenants' responsibility for fence: adjoining owners: houses, river Wye, named lanes where adjoining: 'Mearstone' noted: changes made at later date concerning ownership of land.
