Administrative History
The Gaol was built in 1827 and was closed in 1916. It is believed that these records were dumped shortly after the Gaol's closure. They were found in the old execution pit of the Gaol at South Street in Derby.
Custodial History
The records were donated to Derbyshire Record Office in August 1997.
