Description	Ring folder containing items selected for an exhibition on school history, together with the printed captions and other materials that formed part of the display. Printed and handwritten recollections gathered from former pupils, including name and years of attendance ranging from the 1960s to the 2010s. Examples: "In year 6 I captained the school football team in the Turnditch Cup, we reached the final of the tournament and were only narrowly beaten" "Winning an Easter Egg Competition" "Burying a Millennium Capsule" "Playing bulldog on the top yard" "When the tree in the bottom playground fell down in to the school building". Longer typed recollection by former pupils: Janet Bonsall, Matthew Austin, Pete Fawcett. Letter dated 15 Mar 2004 from the Assistant Private Secretary to HRH the Prince of Wales expressing thanks for welcoming Prince Charles to the school. With photograph cut from a newspaper showing children waving union flags during the prince's visit to Cromford Mill. Original photographs, including: School photographs 1979, 1981 and 2012, the latter marked “Diamond Jubilee Year”, to celebrate the jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022) Staff photograph, 1992 Photographs of pupils wearing traditional Japanese kimonos. Letter in Japanese and English addressed to a Cromford pupil from a school boy in Japan, referring to the photographs and enclosing a photograph of himself Pupils lined up for a race on sports day, and a football match in progress, c1990s Photograph of pupils alongside the Transport Minister Glenda Jackson MP (1936-2023) (see D4207/9/4 and D4207/10/2) Photograph of a blanket knitted c2000s by the Knit and Natter group, sent to the Goodwill Tribal Outreach Programme and Residential Home and Thandigudi in South India, with collage of six photographs of children in India, captioned "Beautiful dresses with our happy children". Newspaper articles: [c2010s] article about the visit of a Ghanaian musician named Kwashie to run an African drumming workshop. 2014 article about Cromford School receiving a visit from the BBC Children in Need rickshaw challenge team, including television presenter Matt Baker. 2014 copy photograph from The Portal, showing Cromford School pupils enjoying a visit from Santa, aboard the Birdswood narrowboat on Cromford Canal (see D4207/9/5).
