Woodville, High Street Methodist Chapel
Administrative History
Woodville High Street (formerly Wesleyan) Methodist Church records. The first Methodist chapel in Woodville was built in 1816. The church in High Street opened in 1894. It was part of the Woodville and Swadlincote circuit until 1955 and thereafter part of the South Derbyshire circuit except for the period 1962-1967 when it was part of the Newhall and Woodville circuit. Custodial History
These records were deposited in Derbyshire Record Office by the Superintendent of the South Derbyshire Circuit in December 1983 and June 1997. Further consignments were received in January and April 2000.
