Marriage settlement in consideration of a marriage already had between John Marsh the younger of Great Chell in the parish of Woolstanton, Staffordshire, and Ellen one of the daughters of Thomas Poole of Harding Wood Mill, Woolstanton

Description
By which John Marsh has released to William Forde of Church Lawton, Cheshire, gent, and Samuel Stevenson of Cobridgyate, Burslem, potter, in consideration of £100, of all that messuage or tenement in Burslem in the holding or occupation of John Marsh the elder and closes called the Green Field, the Great Sneydale, the Little Sneydale, Sneydale Meadow: moiety of the messuage and lands to the use of John Marsh for life, after his decease upon trust that Ellen and her assigns may take £7 a year from the rents and profits provided she remains unmarried: if she remarries to receive £5 per ann – in lieu of her jointure and right of dower: after decease of Ellen to the use of John Marsh and his heirs for ever
